Scripture (Philippians 3):

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Reflection:

I have been walking in darkness as I write From Despair to Delight. I haven’t taken hold of delight yet, but I press on, strengthened by the prayers and encouraging words of all God’s children. God is with me each step of the way and in God’s own time, I will finish the race set before me, for the glory of Christ.

I am taking a sabbatical from blogging and social media for a season. I hope to focus on self-care, go on a vacation, and join other pilgrims along life’s journey giving thanks for God’s abundant grace in such a crazy world.
